Repertoire international competition

Category A: Participants born on or after February 7, 2011

The competition in Category A will take place in two rounds (first round after recording, second final round in Neuchâtel, February 6, 2027)

FIRST ROUND :

RECORDING IN ONE TAKE: duration of program (from minimum 8 minutes to maximum 12 minutes)

One virtuoso piece( study or presto or toccata or final movement of sonata)
One piece of free choice
If the total duration is under 8 minutes, you may add another piece of free choice.

SECOND ROUND: (maximum 20 finalists will be invited in Neuchâtel February 6, 2027)

Free program max. 15 minutes

All works must be played from memory. Only works written after 1970 can be performed with music.

Category B: participants born on or after February 7, 1998

The competition in Category B will take place in three rounds (first rounds after recordings, semi-final and final round in Neuchâtel February 5 and 7, 2027)

FIRST ROUND :

RECORDING IN ONE TAKE :

One Prelude and Fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier, Books 1 or 2 by J. S. Bach
One study by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Debussy, Scriabin, Ligeti, Unsuk Chin or Rubinstein

Semi-final

February 5 / Neuchâtel Conservatory / Auditorium 1
maximum 20 selected candidates will be invited to play recital.

RECITAL of 25-30 minutes must include:

One or several pieces of free choice
One piece written after 1970

All works must be played from memory.

Only works written after 1970 can be performed with music.

Final round

February 7 / Temple du Bas, Neuchâtel

4 selected candidates with ensemble Les Solistes de Neuchâtel conducted by Sergey Ostrovsky

One of the following concertos :

W. A. Mozart, Concerto No. 12, K. 414
L. van Beethoven, Concerto No 3, op. 37
F. Chopin, Concerto No 1, op. 11
